We dropped door hangers to remind supporters of election day. It also provided a number for rides if needed and precinct information. During our lit drop we stopped to a nearby school to see Hillary speak however we missed her by seconds. As soon as we arrived, her bus pulled away. We tried to catch her at her next event, unfortunately the same thing happened again. Mitt Romney was visiting a nearby school so we stopped over to see him speak

.

Sean Hannity was also there interviewing voters and campaign representatives. We spent the rest of the day knocking on doors making sure everyone went to vote. We didn't stop until the polls were closed. Once the polls closed we could only sit back and hope for the best. We knew it would be close due to Obama's win in Iowa. As the results came in we truly felt our hard work had paid off. Manchester and Nashua both went to Hillary. She won by a 3 percent margin! It was off to Manchester to see her one final time at her victory party at Southern New Hampshire.

One more day

Today was all about canvassing and asking for the vote. Villaraigosa and fellow state representatives who came to show their support for Hillary. Many Clinton supporters came to the office in Nashua office to hear what they had to say before another long day of canvassing and phone banking. Hillary is holding several rallies throughout the state to gain supporters and answer any final questions voters may have. We have seen much stronger support after the debate last night. It began at 6:00am to set up for the rally for the arrival of Senator Clinton and her husband and daughter. We did sign waving until almost 8:00am when they arrived. We had the opportunity to shake hands with Hillary, Bill, and Chelsea. At the rally she answered several questions from the audience and went over her plans as to what she will do once she arrives to the Whitehouse. Then we went back to headquarters where we were off to our next event which was canvassing. Shortly after being dropped off we went to our next event which was the New Hampshire Democratic House Party club dinner. We listened to all of the candidates describe their position and why they felt they should be the next candidate. Clinton described the critical importance of healthcare for every American and she had many stories from people she met throughout the day in NH to relate it to. We took a few photos today with candidates Clinton and Kucinich.

Caucas Day

Due to the weather we stayed in and phone banked throughout the day. I really enjoy canvassing much better because you are actually able to connect with the people face to face which I love. Over the phone is a little more difficult and much less personable. Later on we went out to deliver flyers for the rally at the airport for when Bill and Hillary Clinton arrive here in Nashua. We had a nice dinner here at 99's to watch the results of the Iowa caucas in...unfortunately Clinton came in 3rd place. However, it's only one of the 23 elections soon to come.

Team Hillary

We took a trip today to Concord, the capital to visit the Library and Archives of NH's Political radition at the NH State Library and we also visited the Chairman of both the Democratic and Republican Party for the State Legislature. We discussed issues such as global warming, civil unions and the impact of the primaries here in NH. We then went back to Hillary Clinton's headquarters in Nashua to continue on another day of canvassing. They blessed us with a van today which allowed us to remain together for the first time. A student from UNH also canvassed with us to help get out the vote.

We also stayed late to prep signs for the rallies and debates this weekend. We arrived at Clinton's campaign office around 10am. Everyone was very welcoming. We immediately hit the ground running. After 10 minutes in the office, we left to canvass Nashua. Our field director went to the first couple homes with us then we were ready to work on our own. When we were told we would be trudging though the slushy roads for up to 8-10hr days it was not an exaggeration. We went door to door meeting families and talking policies. The elder were especially opinionated, arguing on both liberal and conservative positions. One man who was in his car pulling out of the driveway ready to leave pulled over to argue about how he loved the 2nd Amendment and how the current healthcare plan was unacceptable. Another woman who was clearly voting republican came back outside her home after we left to clarify why she felt the Republican party was right for the Whitehouse. But we had several more who were extremely supportive to vote Clinton for president. It was always so exciting to hear from a supporter. It makes the entire day worth all of the effort!

Arriving to New Hampshire

Well today is our first day here in New Hampshire and it it COLD. We briefly discussed what will be going on throughout the week and stocked up on supplies at the local Wal-Mart here in Nashua. I have to be honest, I'm still not sure what to expect. We've left the television on to observe the media that's being broadcasted about the candidates and I'd have to say McCain has by far the most commercials we saw today.
