Never rest on your laurels!

Today was awesome! We arrived at Clinton's campaign office around 10am. Everyone was very welcoming. We immediately hit the ground running. After 10 minutes in the office, we left to canvass Nashua. Our field director went to the first couple homes with us then we were ready to work on our own. When we were told we would be trudging though the slushy roads for up to 8-10hr days it was not an exaggeration. We went door to door meeting families and talking policies. The elder were especially opinionated, arguing on both liberal and conservative positions. One man who was in his car pulling out of the driveway ready to leave pulled over to argue about how he loved the 2nd Amendment and how the current healthcare plan was unacceptable. Another woman who was clearly voting republican came back outside her home after we left to clarify why she felt the Republican party was right for the Whitehouse. But we had several more who were extremely supportive to vote Clinton for president. It was always so exciting to hear from a supporter. It makes the entire day worth all of the effort!

Arriving to New Hampshire

Well today is our first day here in New Hampshire and it it COLD. We briefly discussed what will be going on throughout the week and stocked up on supplies at the local Wal-Mart here in Nashua. I have to be honest, I'm still not sure what to expect. We've left the television on to observe the media that's being broadcasted about the candidates and I'd have to say McCain has by far the most commercials we saw today. We also caught an interview with Barock Obama and Hillary Clinton on one of the local stations up here. On the news networks (CNN) the main focus was on the upcoming Iowa caucuses. I'm sure it will be much more hectic thoughout the next few days.
